716, in the beautiful State of Maine. Local Union 716 represents
over 700 members. Our jurisdiction covers The entire State of Maine,
from just above North Berwick to Madawaska, from Eastport to Wilsons Mills.
Local 716 has been involved
in the fundamental construction of every Paper Mill in this fine State
of ours. It has also been instrumental in the building of the now decommisioned
Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant, and National Semi Conductors Micro
Chip Plant located in South Portland.
Local 716 offers an
excellent Apprenticeship Training School with a five-year program
consisting of classroom training as well as on-the-job training.
Completion of the program also allows for credit at Local Community
Colleges.
Local 716 Business Office is
located in the Maine State Capital, Augusta.
Maine is also known as Vacationland.
where people come from all over the world to enjoy the variety of
outdoor activities and the freindly nature of the Maine people.
